Well, we have lived in Vegas for 3 months now and have never gone down to the strip, but
this weekend, my good friend Lara Leigh came down to visit (she came down to Texas also! what a great friend) and we actually made it down to the strip since the first time that we have lived down here!
Thursday night we went to eat out at a restaurant called Marrikech. Its a morrocan restaurant where belly dancers perform while you eat a 6 course meal. The food is great, you get shrimp scampi, filet mignon, and game hen among other things. I was bummed that Trent didn'
t get to come cause he had to work:

Friday Night we went to the Mandalay Bay pool. About once a month they have a movie night where they put up a big screen and you can float in the water or sit on the beach and watch a movie. They actually have sand and you can just sit in the shallow of the wave pool.
Saturday we went to the Shark Reef, Trent was excited cause he has wanted to do that since we moved here, and since I like to touch slimy creatures, I was excited to pet the sharks and sting rays and horseshoe crabs!! Near the entrance of the shark reef they have this projected image on a wall of an aquarium with fish and when you move near it, it must have a motion sensor because the water ripples. I had fun with this!!
