Zion Narrows

This past weekend we went up with my dad, my brother Kash and some scouts of the ward for a little camping trip up at Kolob resevoir. The highlight of it was hiking the Zion Narrows. Although Trent and I have really really wanted to hike from the top the whole 16 miles, the camp spots are booked out for the whole summer, but we found out you can take the shuttle to the Temple of Sunawava (or something like that) and hike in from the bottom to experience the amazing cliffs then turn around when you are tired, so this is what we did. It was really awesome. Not to mention, the red rock and sandstone reminded us of Moab and all our old memories there from the summer of 2006. While riding the shuttle up we found out about a hike called Angels Landing, it consists of a 1200 foot ascent to the top of the cliffs and at multiple times you walk right along the cliff on a 30 in. platform with a shear drop off all the way down next to you, definetly not for you if you are afraid of heights. But, we are gonna try that one out as soon as we can!!
