My mom and sister and grandma were in town this weekend for Danielle's bridal shower... Trent and I were so excited to see them!!
Saturday night was my dad and Angie's wards trunk-r-treat. This is with my little bro Kash... Crystal didn't bring a costume so we had to make due with what we had. Lo and behold, this is what we came up with:a go-go dancer, she had no idea what it was, just that she got to wear the huge poof in her hair and dance around! Sorry, I didn't flip it! Now that I think about it - I'm not really sure what a go-go dancer is, I just know what they look like?!? Can anyone help me? Of course, I have to throw one in with me and he, cause I love him...

Danielles Bridal Shower
Danielle is my soon to be Sister n law... On Saturday we threw her a Bridal Shower here in Las Vegas, although she and my brother live in Temecula (CA), so we got to spend the weekend with her!! We had it at this yummy french cafe/bistro. Our table was on the patio next to an outdoor fireplace and on a lake, it was great! This picture is with my little sis, she is 8, and so cute. I love her. They served us an appetizer plate complete with different cheeses, meats, and duck pate. and No thank you - I don't do liver. It was so great to have my moms (yes that is plural, and no they are not lesbians,) and sisters (and a half) and grandmas altogether! Aren't my grandmas so cute? We were running around all day and came home with barely enough time to wrap her some gifts and make some flower bouquets for everybody... I am so grateful Bret and Danielle are gonna be eternal companions - they compliment each other so well! I also can't wait to go to the San Diego temple for the wedding!

Hogan Weekend
Besides moving this weekend, Trents family came to see us. Everyone was there except Craig! Shaleece turned 21 so we celebrated by eating out at the Cheesecake Factory. Now, we are just waiting (and waiting... and waiting) for her mission call! We road Insanity on top of the Stratosphere - it reminded me of the UFO ride at the carnival where you lay against the wall and the pressure keeps you there as it spins. I always have loved those type of rides, spinning ones, they feel so good to me, I just don't get nauseous - I hope that never changes. There was puke on the windows below the rides, just FYI, it was funny. They also brought us a love sac, which we really appreciate for 3 reasons! 1. We don't have much furniture. 2. They are extremely comfy. 3. We get to put it at the bottom of the stairs and jump on it!
Next up: my family will be in town this weekend!! Whoo hoo!

When I walk in our new house, I smell brand new carpet. I smell Scentsy "Falling Leaves" melting on the candle warmer. I smell fabric softener from the dryer. I see random crap laying everywhere and marks already on the walls from moving furniture. I hear the dishwasher running. I smell the poop that Bubba left for us on our brand new carpet. I can't get the power outlets to work in the upstairs bathrooms. I see the new gold addition to my key chain, and know that it unlocks all of these senses. and I know that it is all MINE.

We ArE sO PoPuLaR!!
OuR bLoG jUsT hIt 1,000 VIEWS!!!! I must be wittier than I thought to be attracting so many readers!! Anyways - -
We signed our lives away this morning. (I swore I would never use that phrase after hearing it about 72 times a day working in Moab. The people coming in to go on a rafting trip had to sign a clause saying they wouldn't sue if they died on the trip and this one girl would always say, "I need you to sign your life away on this line here... hahaha blah." hahaha not. But I believe this to be an appropriate usage moment of the phrase.) We went to the title company and signed the same papers over and over again for an hour and a half and we are sooooooo EXCITED!! So its official, I hope... Cause I already switched all our mail to our new address!
Sorry - nothing really exciting has happened these last couple of weeks.
Don't forget about Prop 8, vote YES if you live in CA and if you don't then tell the people you know that DO live in CA!! If it doesn't pass, there will be serious repercussions!

Prop 8
I don't know that anybody will read this post that can actually do something about Prop 8, but I do know that as church members, we have been asked to put all of our time and means available into supporting Prop 8, and although I personally can't vote in California, I hope this post will educate some people who can.
There are videos, articles, etc. that explain the ramifications and consequences if Prop 8 DOES NOT pass. To highlight a few, our children will be taught in school (from K to 12) that same sex marriages are normal and accepted and that it is ok for children to like other children of the same sex. This should be the right of the parents not the schools.
This is SO important. PLEASE do not take this lightly. The consequences will be huge. It will affect the entire nation. We already voted on it once in Prop 22 and four activist judges based in San Fran overturned what the people said and legalized same sex marriage.
This will affect our children. Those who are homosexual will not lose any rights. They will still have all benefits and tax benefits as heterosexual marriages. This is simply regarding the definition of marriage. It is a MORAL issue. It is not an act of tolerance. They cannot use tolerance as a cry against us and then use that same 'intolerance' against us by saying we aren't tolerant. We need to unite, all faiths, all those interested in the family and protect the divine institution of marriage. If you are from California, please register to vote and VOTE on November 4 YES YES YES for Prop 8.
If you are not from California, make sure you talk to anyone you know who is and pass on this very important information! Please contact those you know DO ALL you CAN to get them to vote yes on Prop 8. Please repost this on your blog!!!

1. Children in public schools will have to be taught that same-sex marriage is just as good as traditional marriage.
The California Education Code already requires that health education classes instruct children about marriage. (§51890)
Therefore, unless Proposition 8 passes, children will be taught that marriage between any two adults is of the same worth, regardless of gender. There will be serious clashes between the secular school system and the right of parents to teach their children their own values and beliefs.
The Church released "The Divine Institution of Marriage" in response to Prop 8, please click here to read it

Movie Review - Lakeview Terrace
Last night Trent and I went and saw this movie (Lakeview Terrace). It was pretty boring, and kinda low budget it seems for having Samuel L Jackson, he was just about the only recognizable actor. I don't really like Samuel L Jackson, he gives me the heebs for some reason! It was slow and each scene was extended longer than they should have if they wanted more suspense. It was never scary until the very end and it lasted less than 10 minutes. Outta 5, 2 or 2 1/2 stars.

My Other Blog
I started a hair blog! You can see the link down the right hand side below the "About Me" section. Now, don't go running off to look at it, I know how excited you must be! I actually haven't posted anything yet, and it could be a little while before I do. Cause, you see, in order to take pictures of hair and post it on my hair blog, I actually have to have somebodies hair to do!
I also ordered business cards and hopefully my copy and paste method worked from the site that I just ordered them from so you guys can see (Not that that is too exciting for anybody but myself)
Well I am excited to do this! I think it will actually be more helpful for me than anyone else!

I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!
I love Halloween time, I thought I would be trick or treating forever but since meeting Trent I haven't gone (yeah that's right, I went when I was 19, laugh all you want...) I just love it! I will use the excuse of "taking my kids trick or treating" someday and nobody will question it even though it will secretly be for me! Mwauhhahahaha! I just love the 2nd half of the year cause I feel like a kid again, all the feelings from childhood come back and you know there is something special coming up. I love dressing up to, I will surprise you with what we are going to be. And by surprise I mean I will get really excited as each day passes and end up posting about it by the end of this week!! The Nightmare Before Christmas holds a special place in Trent and My's (is that proper english?) hearts. I like this one, the song is catchy-ish... Now sit back and I will tell you a (ghost) story...
Once upon a time, in a town kinda far away depending on where you live, named Moab, there was a girl named Cherie and a boy named Trent falling in love. Each day they couldn't wait to get off of work to see each other. Oh the fun times they would have... midnight hikes and swims, camping, bike rides, boozing... But one night, Cherie wanted to catch a bullfrog on the golf course, it was looking pretty stormy but wasn't raining yet so she caught her bullfrog and they headed back to the car... It was pretty windy by now. Crazy, scary windy and thundering. As they drove back into town the lightning and thunder starting getting closer together and they knew a rainstorm was afoot. But, being so in love as they were, they were not ready to call it a night, so they decided to head up a canyon and see if there were any waterfalls from the rain. As they headed up the canyon they realized that it wasn't raining on this side of Moab, only on the other side of the cliffs. They head up a hill to gain elevation. They park the car and sit down on Trents bouldering pad on the hood. Trent turns on appropriate music, no, not Barry Manilow or Marvin Gaye or Frank Sinatra, Cherie and Trent have a very special relationship. They turned on the soundtrack to The Nightmare Before Christmas. With the lightning lighting up the silhouettes of the red rock cliffs and the thunder clapping to the beat, there was magic in the air... and they knew they would be together forever... the end.

Nothing really
I had to change the blog background again... I will probably keep changing cause I am really indecisive and just want all of the cute backgrounds! Well, it has been a week since my last post and upon starting our blog in August I have found myself looking for things to blog about. Things that are interesting in my mind (I think way too much about the dumbest crap) seem like they would be too boring for others to read, hence, this post. A blog about nothing, just blogging to blog, cause I am here at work, cause I have already caught up with all of my TV shows online, cause I don't feel like reading (a book that is), cause people aren't updating their own blogs enough, cause I was having blogging withdrawals (even though we haven't been up to much lately except our regular ol' life), and I am just bored. But I do have some pictures for you, you will be able to see that although our life must be boring because we have to get creative sometimes, we still have a lot of fun!Trent made this when he was unemployed and had filled out an application for every business in Las Vegas... sorry, I forgot to flip the pictures before posting them, but you get the idea...Cooper loves to grab everything, even when you give him what he wanted he finds something immediately after that he wants to touch... so sometimes when we get a little sick of it we put socks on his hands or tape his hands together ("I feel so sorry for your kids... blah blah blah" I'm still his big sister you know).
